About: Join us for a talk on science and faith given by renowned writer and lecturer, Dr Denis Alexander. After the talk, there will be opportunity to ask Denis questions in a Q&A session. Light refreshments available.

About the speaker:
Dr Denis Alexander is a renowned writer and lecturer, as well as the Founding Director Emeritus of The Faraday Institute for Science and Religion at St. Edmunds College, Cambridge. He was previously an open scholar at Oxford University where he read biochemistry before carrying out research for a PhD in neurochemistry at the Institute of Psychiatry, University of London. Following this he spent 15 years in academic positions in the Middle East before returning to the UK where he worked at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (now Cancer Research UK). Up until 2013, he was Editor of the journal Science & Christian Belief. He is also the author of a number of books including ‘Biology and Ideology – From Descartes to Dawkins’ (2010) and ‘The Language of Genetics’ (2011).
