A tour of the “Wonders of Ancient Mesopotamia” exhibition

Posted on Apr 30, 2013 in Events, News

The “Wonders of Ancient Mesopotamia” exhibition is currently showing at the Hong Kong Museum of History in TST until 13 May 2013.  This exhibition features over 170 artefacts from the British Museum in London from the civilisations of Sumer, Assyria and Babylon.  A number of these are highly significant for the light they shed on the Bible including the Enuma Elish, the Epic of Gilgamesh and the Nabonidus Cylinder.  If you don’t know what these things are, or would like to find out more, then why not come along?

John Percival will be leading a tour of the exhibition entiled “Is the Bible reliable?” on 20 April 2013 at 11am and 4pm.  Each tour will be approximately one and a half hours long including time for you to look round the exhibition for yourself.  The tour will not be a tour of the whole exhibition but rather will highlight those objects of particular interest for scholars of the Bible.  Admission to the museum is HK$10.  For more information or to reserve a place (limited to 12 per tour) please email Amy Lam using the from below.
